“ Restaurant is beautiful and upscale, and it's clear they are dedicated to providing great food and great service. Be aware though that they do charge $9 per water, regardless whether it's tap or sparkling. I understand this is an upscale place, but this felt excessive and totally caught us off guard, and we wish this would have been shared with us prior to them pouring it in our glasses. Otherwise, we had an awesome experience and will be back! ”
“ Great food, Great people , Food was amazing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The service was spot on, we stumbled across this place and would definitely come back again! ”
“ What a treat our day before Valentine's dinner date was!! From the moment we walked in the door, the entire staff was so welcoming and helpful! Service was impeccable! Bruschetta, imported Parmesan, zucchini and focaccia were perfect to whet our appetites. I started with the fig and Gorgonzola appetizer and my husband had the burratta. So good!!! Next up, short rib ravioli in an ossa buco sauce for me and fettuccine with truffle shaved at the table by Djenko, our head waiter, for hubby. What a delight he was!!! Our food was so delicious!!! I highly recommend Il Mulino-Uptown!!! ”

“ Came here for dinner, it was absolutely amazing. I loved how knowledgeable the staff was about the wine list, and how detailed of an explanation we got for every dish. The ambiance is so beautiful. I am for sure coming back to this location ”
“ Over the summer my friend and I decided to dine here for NYC restaurant week, but we were informed that it had already ended. As a result, we stayed, received some complementary bites and enjoyed a glass of Brunello wine while ordering a three course meal. Staff were great and accommodating. Appetizers: Caprese - staff split this dish in two for the two of us. Great start. Burrata was fresh and dish was refreshing. Vongole Oreganata - we loved this clam dish, great balance of flavors, everything was fresh! Entrees: We ordered the evening's specials: Lobster Pasta - my friend loved this dish probably one of the best she had! Tagliatelle with Black Truffle - I am a sucker for homemade pasta and black truffles. I had a similar dish at the Roslyn location except it was made with mushroom Ravioli, so I had high expectations of this dish. I devoured my dish, which paired really well with the Brunello. Dessert: We received a sampler consisting of tiramisu, flourless Lava Cake and Italian Cheesecake. We ended the night with shots of limoncello to cleanse the palate. Ambiance was great, access to the bathroom was a bit of journey. I'd definitely return to try their other dishes maybe even go for restaurant week. ”
“ What can I say? Il Mulino makes for a wonderful (albeit slightly pricey) dining experience! Located in Lenox Hill, it's a hop, skip and a jump from the park and the beauty bougie-ness of Fifth Ave and Madison Ave. Had dinner reservations on a Saturday afternoon, right at 5pm, when I think the restaurant opens (but they had people sitting at the bar and also some parties were seated at tables). Beautiful ambiance and decor, the dining room was bright but soon enough, the lights were dimmed for a much intimate (romantic) atmosphere, which was a nice touch. I have to stress that the service here is top notch, impeccable. There is attention to everything, but not overwhelming. We loved the artisanal bread (tried staying away and just had one slice) and the big chunk of the Cheese Roll they bring to the table was impressive. The food was also great and delicious - the grilled octopus was scrumptiously meaty, grilled to perfection and plenty to share for two! Salads were also a great accompaniment and our main courses didn't disappoint--I had a beautiful middle piece of grilled salmon with delicious mushrooms and broccoli rabe. My friend had the large / jumbo prawns that were also just grilled and seasoned beautifully. My friend and I spent great quality time and joked about how high the bill would be. Let's just say $30 per champagne flute will bring it up there! (We didn't realize the price of it, tbh, but it was a delicious brut champagne that hit the spot) so be aware of some of those pricey drinks! Personally, I have little issue with paying for high quality food, but I could pass on the alcohol's high price tag. I also appreciated the restaurant NOT tagging on the additional 20% service charge like many do nowadays. But as I mentioned, the service was very good (as it should be everywhere but also for the prices). ”
